Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you wouldn’t have missed the release of the iPhone 11, the Google Pixel 4 and Samsung’s Galaxy Fold; some of the biggest companies coming out with the goods as usual. Under they hype of these tech giants lies the many companies releasing their products in the shadows, for their niche markets and loyal customers, so here’s 5 smartphone releases you have missed out on.

Realme

The china-based company only recently announced their introduction into the Australian market, and with that marked the release of four new smartphone models. Part of this lineup included Australia’s first ever 64MP quad camera smartphone, the Realme XT.

They also released the C2, Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro.

For almost half the price of the iPhone 11, it’s maybe worth checking a stylistically up-to-scratch phone with a big focus on its camera and value.

Oppo

Set to launch in 2020, also from China, Oppo will release the A9 and A5 smartphones that will have a new look, all-day battery life, better audio quality, more power and memory, and whole new camera system.

Very much like Realme, these smartphones will give you a premium feel without the hefty price tag.

TCL

TCL Plex, smartphones

The Chinese consumer electronics company mostly known for its television sets, washing machines, refrigerators, has released their first TCL-branded smartphone, the TCL PLEX.

Their smartphone will focus on “cinematic viewing experiences” and seamless connectivity packed into a sleek-looking product.

This being their first branded smartphone, it should be worth keeping a close eye on.

Huawei

The Huawei nova 5T, released today, will include a variety of exciting features including: a quad-camera set-up (48MP main sensor), a 6.26-inch full-display with finger-print sensors on the side, a longer-lasting battery life, and more powerful performance thank to the Kirin 980 chipset.

In two sleek colours, Crush Blue and Black, this smartphone can be purchased for $699 AUD.

Motorola

The American telecommunications company is set release two new smartphones in the Motorola one macro and the moto G8 plus.

The Motorola one macro is available as of today for $299 AUD and will feature 3 MP main sensor and Macro Vision sensor, long-lasting battery, 6.2-inch display, 4 GB memory + 64 GB storage and a fast power-efficient processor.

The Moto G8 plus will be available as of the 31st of October for $499 AUD and will feature 48MP main sensor with Night Vision, 40 hour battery with fast charging, ultra-wide action cam, dual stereo Dolby speakers, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor.

For the prices that they’re going for, they have to be considered.
