As someone new to Nintendo with a Switch Lite handheld, I was excited to hear the Nintendo Switch 2 console was going to be released in 2025 and watch the new trailer below.

Nintendo Switch 2 will play exclusive games as well as both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games.

The first look trailer shows a sneak peek at the console. In three days, the video has over 1 million likes and 18 million views.

Players can look forward to a new streamlined design, larger screen with detachable controllers and a familiar layout.

More details be revealed on Wednesday, 2nd April 2025 at Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2.
