ÆRTHLINGS: Collectible Mystery Figures That Come to Life in a Free Mobile Adventure

The toys contain a mystery-box ÆRTHLINGS FIG, which is NFC-enabled. You can bring your collectible to life inside the free mobile game when scanned with any compatible iOS or Android device. Once hatched, players can explore the world of ÆRTH and battle mischievous MOONLINGS.

The box contains a mystery cube and instructions on how to download the mobile game.

The game is slightly addictive. I played solidly for several weeks over the Christmas holidays. I swapped between my mobile phone and my Apple iPad.

Each Aerthling has a different fighting style. You can chop down trees and mine for rocks and other treasures.

The gameplay is easy, with some Aerthling characters easier to kill enemies than others.

You can lower the land to make travelling over it easy. I made more graduated steps and moved the trees out of the way to the edges.

“Most collectibles stop at ‘own it, shelve it, forget it,’” said Justin Kifer, CEO of Modern Games. “ÆRTHLINGS flips the entire collecting mentality on its head, rewarding players for sharing their collections and growing trade LINEAGES, an innovation the collecting community has never seen before. It’s about turning collections into real-life connections.”

The ÆRTHLINGS: Genesis Collection is now available at Big W, EB Games, Kmart, and Target stores across Australia, with the free game live on the App Store and Google Play.

The global rollout begins in 2026 with new waves, new biomes and new mysteries waiting to hatch.

Collect. Trade. Play.
