Imagine shopping without the hassle of the check out process and waiting in line?
When Amazon released their teaser video of their new Just Walk Out Shopping experience it was trending on YouTube.
When you enter the store you simply tap the Amazon Go app and select the products you wish to purchase…. and then leave. No checkout. No waiting.
The Just Walk Out technology automatically detects your product selection with a virtual cart and Amazon account. It’s the same technology used in self-driving cards, computer vision, sensor function and deep learning.
The first Amazon Go shop is currently in beta in Seattle, WA. The process is being tested by Amazon employees but will be open to the public in early 2017. You’ll be able to purchase grocery essentials, well-known brands and ready to eat options.
