Eating with Confidence Using Assistive Cutlery by Liftware

Liftware has created two products for eating designed to counteract tremors and shaking hands.

The products can be helpful for people with limited mobility that may be associated with medical conditions like Parkinson’s disease or essential tremor, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, Huntington’s disease, or post-stroke deficits.

The eating utensils have a stabilizing handle with built-in sensors, a computer and motors that help to sense and counteract hand tremors. The products adapt to your range of motion and help to keep the utensil level, regardless of how you hand, or arm twists, bends, or moves.

The products are designed to automatically stabilizes so the attached utensil shakes 70% less than your hand. The products are compact and lightweight to hold.

Liftware Products

  • Steady Starter Kit – includes a stabilizing handle and soup spoon attachment, travel pouch, and charger
  • Level Starter Kit – made up of two parts – a computerized handle and attachment. It can be used as a soup spoon or fork. It includes a travel pouch, strap and charger.

You can purchase additional items.  The ‘steady’ kit offers 4 add-ons (fork, everyday spoon, spork, carrying case) vs. the ‘level’ kit which offers only 2 add-ons (the fork and carrying case).

The battery lasts several days on a charge, or one hour of continuous use (approximately three meals).

The computerised handle is not suitable for the dishwasher or submerging in water.

Liftware uses technology to help a person to eat easier and with more confidence.

There is a one-year warranty.

Currently, Liftware is only available and designed for use in the United States.

Please note: The Liftware Level and Steady Starter Kits are currently out of stock and there is no estimate for when either item will be restocked. Liftware are the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of Liftware devices, this item will not be available from authorized 3rd party vendors.
