Eva The New Video Social Network From The UK

Meet eva – the new video social network. It’s the mobile YouTube for the Instagram generation!

Announcing the international launch of the new must-have video social network app – eva, hot on the heels of its London launch this past July. Built from the bottom up and using the world’s leading cloud video editing technology; eva is beautiful, simple to use and empowers people to express themselves through film. Coupled with the (patent pending) ‘evafeed’, a public stream of consciousness with content that is relevant to each users interests, location and who they follow, the app also launches immediately upon opening.

“I’d become bored of having to go through the same registration process, giving my details with the promise of something awesome in return only to be disappointed,” said Aziz Musa, Executive Director and Co-founder “with eva we decided to go against the grain – open the app and content immediately starts playing. Like what you see? Then engage and register. Unsure? Come back later and you’re almost guaranteed new and original content.”

Developed by Forbidden Technologies plc (UK) – which floated in February 2000, the company develops and markets the powerful cloud video platform, Forscene; used by broadcasters, in professional web video, in education and by consumers. The platform supports one of the world’s most advanced browser-based and mobile applications. eva is built using this same technology and aims to bring powerful video to the mass market, empowering the world to live life and share it.

eva is a new take on the social video app with users able to shoot footage in full screen portrait whilst the app makes use of the cloud meaning users need not worry about memory on their phone. Socially, eva allows you to create a profile, follow friends, like and comment on videos and share clips to your other accounts such as Facebook and Twitter. Similar to Instagram, users will be able to manipulate their video footage with 36,000 filters and a trim feature that in a soon to be released update to the app.

Over the last year, eva has been quietly building traction with it’s original video content being shared over 10 million times. The app already has a following in the tens of thousands including with advocates including celebrities, influential founders and the technology savvy alike.

“We wanted eva to be born with amazing content, and where better to hold the international launch than Melbourne – one of the most liveable and culturally vibrant cities in the world. Also, Australia is globally acknowledged as early adopters of technology.” Said Musa.
