15 years on from when they started as an individual entity, a single app for people to connect with family, friends and organisations, Facebook is now changing the “face” of their company.
If you didn’t already know, Facebook is not just a social media company for billions of people to connect; they’re also a conglomerate. They own some of the world’s biggest companies including Instagram and WhatsApp to name a few. The aim of this new company brand is not only to have a newly designed logo, but more importantly to make it clearer to the public which companies are owned by Facebook.
Did you know that Facebook has acquired 79 companies? If you didn’t know that, you will now that Facebook have added “from Facebook”, which started in June, within all their apps. Expect to see this in Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram, and even in endorsements for Oculus, Workplace and Portal products.
Expect the changes to look something like the above.
Also coming soon is the implementation of the new brand to marketing materials and products, as well as changes to the company website.
