Foxtel’s new Binge Streaming Service called Binge has launched which is good news for fans of TV hits such as Games Of Thrones, Big Little Lies, Chernobyl, and The Office.
In fact, Binge will offer more than 10,000 hours of content from Foxtel’s more expensive pay TV offering and online streaming products. This news comes off the back of ditching Presto which failed to get the traction it needed.
Foxtel’s latest attempt at a low-cost subscription video platform is good value, with prices starting at $10 per month with no lock-in contracts. It has almost identical pricing structure to Stan at $10–$18/month. But compared to sister products, it’s much better value.
Foxtel recently announced a deal securing the exclusive rights to air HBO Max content in Australia. HBO Max plans to launch on May 27 in the United States and popular shows such as Tokyo Vice and a reboot of Gossip Girl will be featured.
There are currently no plans for Binge to feature any exclusive content, and the main reason for this is that Foxtel wants the iQ box to be its most premium offering.
