If you’ve ever found yourself 17 reels deep into the rabbit hole of gut health, sleep hacks or biohacking gadgets, wondering, whether vaginal jade eggs actually work, then this new podcast will be your new wellness addiction. Launching Thursday 24 July 2025, the Wellness Unlocked podcast is the no-fluff, high-energy audio offering from Swiish co-founders Sally Obermeder and Maha Corbett – that delivers a a weekly deep dive into the buzziest, boldest wellness trends on the internet. In real talk. From skin microbiome to scheduled sex nothing is off limits. And, that’s exactly how the duo like it.
But, don’t expect vague affirmations or woo-woo sound baths. Wellness Unlocked promises “No fluff. Just the stuff that actually moves the needle.” And, if there’s one thing Sally and Maha know how to do, it’s cut through the noise.
“We’re not feeding into any buzzwords or trending jargon without evidence,” the siblings say. “We are passionate about doing right by our listeners and made sure we selected some of the best experts to come on the podcast to debunk and deep-dive into their respective fields.”
Each episode dives into a trending topic – from the sleep–depression connection to testosterone therapy – with the same accessible, science-backed approach that has earned Swiish a cult following across Australia. “It’s a mixed bag. And, we love that!” say the sisters.
While the move into podcasting might feel like a natural next step for a brand that already dominates in the wellness space, it was more than just good timing – it was a direct response to demand. “We are lucky to have such an engaged and curious Swiish community. So, a podcast felt like the most natural next step for us. And for them!” says the duo. “This podcast is an extension of Swiish. We’ve always been about more than just products – it’s about community, connection, and real conversations. Wellness Unlocked takes that to the next level.”
And, it’s not just the podcast format that’s new. Recording together has brought a whole new energy to the sibling dynamic behind the brand. “We’ve worked together for over a decade, but this is a whole new rhythm,” they say. “It’s unscripted, it’s raw, and it’s made us realise how differently we sometimes think about wellness or what we each think is interesting to the audience.”
“Yes, we’ve absolutely disagreed on what should stay in or get cut out,” the duo add. “Usually one of us says ‘we can’t leave that in,’ and the other says ‘that’s exactly why we should!’ But that’s what makes it real and relatable.”
The realness, in fact, is what the podcast is built on. Sally and Maha aren’t afraid to call out hype when they see it. “I think the obsession with quick-fix detox teas or anything promising to ‘flatten your tummy in seven days’ is so outdated,” says Sally. “Wellness isn’t about shrinking yourself, it’s about nourishing yourself. Those trends prey on insecurity, not empowerment.”
According to Maha, it’s the idea that more is always better. “Having a complicated, 10 step routine. One thing that is worth paying more attention to is nervous system regulation. So many of us live in constant fight or flight mode. Tools that support our nervous system – like breathwork, daily grounding or proper boundaries can be very transformative for mind and body.”
And, the hosts aren’t just talking the talk. Both have had personal revelations while recording, from shifting their sleep habits to reconsidering hormone therapy. “You know that book ‘Go the f**k to sleep’? .. it was a parody book written for parents about their kids,” says Sally. “Well that book is spot on, but not just for kids but adults too. Adults who are so overstimulated and wired… Every expert, from gut health to brain function, from hormones to skin radiance, spoke about the sheer importance of sleep. So now quite reluctantly I sleep more!”
For Maha, it was learning about the role of testosterone in women’s health that left the biggest impression. “I learned so much about the role of testosterone for women, and how a decline in testosterone as we age affects us – beyond just libido, it impacts energy, mood, body aches and pains and so much more. Interviewing Dr Jo Bruce has made me be much more open to considering hormone therapy in the future.”
Of course, for longtime fans of the brand, this next chapter is deeply rooted in the origin story of Swiish – a business born from adversity and built with purpose. Sally was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer the day before giving birth to her first child. During her recovery, she began making green smoothies to support her healing. When she realised there were no quality greens powders on the market, she and Maha set out to create their own. The result is the now-iconic Supergreens and a wellness empire driven by the desire to help others feel their best.
“Ever since my own personal health challenges, I have dedicated my life to helping others live their healthiest lives possible,” says Sally. “This podcast was another avenue for me to make this happen and give people, who perhaps feel a bit lost or confused when it comes to wellness, a safe place to learn and grow.”
And, that’s ultimately what Wellness Unlocked aims to offer – a trustworthy, approachable, and empowering space in an often confusing wellness landscape. “Our community means everything to us,” the sisters say. “We want to be their go-to, trusted source.”
If listeners take away just one thing the siblings say it is as simple as recognising that “You don’t need to overhaul your entire life to feel better.” Instead, “small, smart shifts, backed by science and done consistently, can unlock real change. We want you to feel empowered, not overwhelmed.”
And, in case you’re wondering what wellness trend they’re dying to try next, Sally’s list includes “Stem Cell Facial! Bee sting therapy! Yoni steaming! … I would try anything once!” Similarly, Maha is just as open-minded. “Castor oil packs for liver support, stem cell therapy, biofield tuning and EFT (tapping). Same as Sally. I’ll give anything a go!”
