Samsung, ahead of the highly anticipated on-sale of the Galaxy S20 range, has announced its largest consumer giveaway campaign, Microcodes. For a chance of winning a Galaxy S20 Ultra, Samsung is challenging consumers to find hidden codes that are scattered across a number of advertisements in Australia.
All you need to do is find them.
“The concept is clever, fun and speaks to one of our most standout camera features, the 100x Space Zoom,”said Garry McGregor, Vice President of IT and Mobile, Samsung Electronics Australia
Consumers will be looking for the word “phone” spelt in a variety of ways that people won’t be able to spot with the naked eye. Instead, they’ll need to use the Galaxy S20 Ultras’ 100x Space Zoom feature to even have a chance of seeing the code.
But of course, there are thousands of ads in Australia so how can you know which ones contain the codes? Consumers need to stay up-to-date with Samsung Australia’s social media activity on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter since clues to the whereabouts of the winning codes will be left there on occasion.
You can find the codes in TV ads, Samsung Experience Stores and kiosks, Facebook, Instagram, Samsung online banners, cinema and select out of home placements. So keep your eyes peeled.
So how can you play?
- To enter the competition you must 19 years and older
- Find a Samsung Galaxy S20 advertisement
- Using the 100x Space Zoom, look for the word “phone” in geometric writing
- Once you’ve found it, enter the code in the Samsung Microcodes microsite to confirm a winning code
Only the first person to enter that winning code wins a Galaxy S20 Ultra, meaning that not everyone will win one. The competition went live this morning so you better hurry and get searching for those codes!
