Peterest is a new platform that allows users to upload photos of their pets and animals. Peterest users can endlessly scroll through thousands of pet images and share them with their friends through different social media channels. Users can click a heart-shaped button to indicate they like a specific picture, which will then be pinned to their My Likes wall. The photos with the highest heart count per day, week and month receive special honors on Peterest.
iOS and Android apps from the start
Starting today, free Peterest apps are available download for iPhone, iPad and Android, just visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Smartphone users can browse through an endless list of pictures and sort them by different criteria. Within a few seconds, users can snap a picture with their smartphone and upload it to Peterest.
Peterest apps are available in English and German, additional languages will be following shortly.
Pet of the week
Every day, Tractive selects the picture that earned the most hearts on that particular day and honors it by featuring it on Peterests Facebook fan page. Additional winners will be highlighted every week and every month.

During a short closed beta phase of Peterest, thousands of high-quality images were uploaded and shared by its users.
Endless photos stream
On www.peterest.com users can scroll as long as their mousewheel scrolls, without hitting a wall. The endless photos stream will keep showing photos – super fast.
The Austrian Startup Tractive was co-founded 2012 by former Amazon.com manager Michael Hurnaus and two experts in the field of mobile computing, Michael Lettner and Michael Tschernuth. Tractive’s goal is to tighten the relationship between pet owners and their pets and bring lost pets back to their respective owners.
