I Like to Mova … Mova It: A Review of the Mova X4 Pro Wet and Dry Vacuum

Reel to Reel’s 1993 hit “I like to move it, move it” has been living rent-free in my brain for several reasons this month. Firstly, because my two year old nephew is currently obsessed with the Madagascar movie and has the 2025 remix on repeat (#IYKYK). And secondly, because I just got my mitts on the Mova X4 Pro Wet and Dry Vacuum. And, well, if you though the song was catchy, wait till you see how good this device is at catching stray pet hair. We’re talking spinning and shining like a 1990s domestic DJ … with seriously satisfying results.

I’m not easily impressed by household gadgets. I’ve been burned before – literally and figuratively – by steam mops that overpromised and underperformed. But, the Mova X4 Pro came in hot (pun intended). One of its standout features is the SpotHeat Spray. This is a powerful 20,000PA high-pressure hot water system that hits stubborn stains with the vengeance of a toddler denied screen time. Spilled coffee on the carpet? Gone. Tomato sauce splatter that’s dried into your tiles like industrial glue? See ya. That sticky mystery spot that comes courtesy of a tantrummy toddler? Adios, amigo.

Speaking of kids, if you’re a pet parent, or simply on aunty duties with a little one who loves to rock a African-inspired lion dress up ensemble (with a nasty habit of shedding), then the Mova X4 Pro will change you life. (Or at least the state of your floors). Its densely serrated scraper obliterates hair tangles from the brush head, so you don’t have to do the unpleasant hair-pulling-out-of-a-gross-roller thing. It also boasts a liquid locking system that keeps dirty water from sloshing back into your clean path, and a LED light that highlights dirt you didn’t even know existed. Is it gross? Yes. Is it weirdly satisfying to clean? Absolutely.

This vacuum is also smart. Like, suspiciously smart. With smart dirt detection, it knows when things are getting grimy and automatically adjusts its cleaning power. And the self-cleaning function is fantastic. A 180-second rinse cycle, five-step brush washing, and high-heat sterilisation means you’re never pushing a filthy mop head around your home. Honestly, it’s more thorough than a two-year old on a mission to raid the hidden lolly jar.

I also loved the 180° Lie-Flat Reach technology. It lives up to expectations even better than my two-year nephews entry into the Terrible Twos. (And trust me, he’s giving it a red hot go!) It glides under couches, beds, and low cabinets without you having to contort yourself into the kind of questionable cartoon character your nephew wants you to be pretend to be during play time.

Finally, one of my fave features of the Mova X4 Pro Wet and Dry Vacuum is that is sucks. But in the best way. The 20,000PA suction of this devide doesn’t mess around. It picks up both wet and dry messes in one fell swoop, from muddy footprints to cereal spills and beyond. The fact that I can do it all without switching tools or scrubbing manually is seriously domestic bliss.

So, yes, this week’s theme song was I like to mova mova it. Because when cleaning becomes this easy, this efficient, and this oddly satisfying, you can’t help but dance a little with the Mova X4 Pro Wet and Dry Vacuum.
