Inspirational Jessica Alter Talks About The Future Of Work

Inspirational Entrepreneur Jessica Alter talks about her career highlights and why her new focus is the many complex and pressing issues involving the future of work.

Jessica led business development at Bebo, a social networking website, and was the CEO at FounderDating- a platform that connects entrepreneurs with advisers to help grow their businesses and careers, which she sold in 2016.

She also founded Tech For Campaigns, spurred on by watching the election of Donald Trump in November 2016. Her aim was simple: she wanted to find a way to channel energy into productive change.

Here, Jessica is talking at the MYOB breakfast prior to last year’s StartUp Grind in Melbourne’s Convention Centre.

About Jessica Alter
Jessica Alter has been starting and growing some of Silicon Valley’s most impressive companies for her entire career. She is an advisor and mentor at both Extreme Startups and 500 Startups and was an Entrepreneur in Residence for Social Capital LP, a leading Silicon Valley-based VC who invest in founders at all stages of the company lifecycle, from promising early stage startups to transformational public companies.

Most recently, Jessica founded Tech for Campaigns. Whilst it started as a simple Google Doc shared amongst friends to see who would provide tech expertise to Democratic campaigns following the election of Donald Trump, Tech for Campaigns has since morphed into a fully-fledged organisation with an army of digital marketers, developers, data scientists and tech professionals willing to contribute their expertise to progressive and centrist campaigns at a moment’s notice.
