Here, at Women Love Tech, it is our mission to empower young girls and women to overcome gender biases and embrace careers in STEM. Thatโ€™s why for IWD 2023, we asked trailblazing women to share their thoughts on this yearโ€™s theme, โ€˜Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal futureโ€™.

Lissy works therapeutically with individuals and couples suffering from a vast variety of life difficulties such as depression, anxiety, bereavement or loss, childhood trauma, struggles with life transitions, relationship or family distress.

Lissy has held positions on both the Executive Committee and Membership Committee of the British Society of Couple Psychotherapists and Counsellors and was Vice President of the Couple, Child and Family Psychotherapy Association of Australasia (CCAFPAA). Lissy firmly believes in the ability of her clients to enhance their wellbeing and the quality of their lives at any stage of life.

Lissy said, “we need to crack our cultural, economic and social codes and behaviours that entrench inequality. As a woman who developed a business with several decades under my belt, I can tell you that itโ€™s never too late.โ€

She added, “youโ€™re also going to have haters and do you know that globally, 24% of women have reduced their internet usage due to online attacks. I encourage you to not dim your light for anyone. Double down and share your genius and speak louder knowing that your voice matters.”
