Running between August 16 – 20, Startmate has launched Liminal – a free online event for women who’ve had enough of their routined 9-5s.
The 4-day online event, Liminal takes a look at the world of startups. Whether your job doesn’t feel right for you, you don’t feel fulfilled, or you’re simply curious about other options, startups can offer the opportunity to work on a project that is equally exciting as it is rewarding.
“Startups offer a highly rewarding alternative to traditional or corporate career paths, and there is no better time to join a startup than right now. In startups, you can see the tangible impact of your work, and join a community of like-minded, passionate and highly motivated peers,” says McHenry.
What is Liminal?
Attendees will engage with online panels, masterclasses and breakout sessions with some leading startup operators and coaches. Learn from women who’ve experienced the jump from routine to startups across a wide range of sectors including medicine and health, law, finance, media, and more!
Liminal aims to give women the push they need to take that leap.
“Women need to back themselves to take the leap ㄧ but, of course, this is easier said than done. We’ve designed Liminal with women in mind, to ensure they end the week with a better understanding of how their skills and experience can translate into a startup job.”
Not only will the event educate attendees on how their skills can be translated into the startup business, but it will even offer them a sneak peek of Startmate’s Women Fellowship – the two-month long program helping ambitious women find their dream job in an Australian or New Zealand-based startup.
