The Sydney start-up Social Playground launched GIFGIF, an innovative photo booth technology that drives brand engagement and social media conversations through animated gifs.
The sleek GIFGIF Booth is the newest addition to Social Playground’s suite of products, including the revolutionary Live Instagram Printer, designed to engage consumers at brand activations, PR launches and corporate events.
GIFGIF enables event attendees to record an animated gif live from the event and share it instantly to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. The effectiveness of GIFGIF speaks for itself, with 80% of users choosing to share their branded gif to one or more social channels. For a generation inundated with content, the entertaining gif format cuts through the clutter and drives brand conversations in a fun and playful way.
“For brands, customisable overlays allow the brand message to be shared on social media”, says Social Playground’s Founder & Director Annabelle Smith. “At the actual event, the consumer engages in a positive brand experience while creating something unique and personal to share with friends”.
To use GIFGIF all users need to do is press the start button on the screen, record the GIF, enter their phone number into the screen and then, in less than 20 seconds, they receive a link to go to the event gallery. From there, they can tweet, Facebook or Instagram the GIF via video conversion. The GIFGIF is available for short or long term hire.
Branding options include overlays, galleries and a plinth, which surrounds the GIFGIF unit itself for additional presence at events.
