New Phone Cases Collection Celebrates Females In Tech History

The exclusive new F-email phone case collection from Case 24 is a celebration of some of the most iconic women in tech history, and all proceeds from this creative new collection in March will be donated to Global Fund for Women (which works for sexual and reproductive health and rights, freedom from violence, economic justice, and leadership).

French Designer created designed specially and exclusively for Case 24. Each of the beautifully illustrated case designs also includes an inspirational quote from the woman featured.

We love the whole collection, since it puts the light on women leaders such as Ada Lovelace – who was the first ever computer programmer, and Katherine Johnson – a NASA ‘human computer’ who played a crucial role in sending the first ever astronauts to the moon. There are so many incredible women in technology who made great achievements. And many are too often forgotten…As well as celebrating these iconic women, it is hoped that this new phone case collection will act as an inspiration to encourage more women and young girls to get into STEM careers.

Ada Lovelace (1815 – 1852) was an English mathematician and writer. She is sometimes regarded as the first to recognise the full potential of a “computing machine” and one of the first computer programmers.
Grace Hopper (1906 –1992) was an American computer scientist and United States Navy admiral. She was a pioneer of computer programming who invented one of the first linkers.
Karen Spärck Jones (1935 – 2007) was a British computer scientist who was responsible for the concept of inverse document frequency, a technology that underlies most modern search engines.
Margaret Hamilton (born in 1936) is an American computer scientist, systems engineer, and business owner. She was Director of the Software Engineering Division of the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory.
Betty Holberton (1917 – 2001) was one of the six original programmers of the first general-purpose electronic digital computer, ENIAC.
Katherine Coleman Goble Johnson (born in 1918) is an African-American mathematician whose calculations of orbital mechanics as a NASA employee were critical to the success of the first and subsequent U.S. manned spaceflights.
Annie Easley (1933 – 2011) was a female African-American computer scientist, mathematician, and rocket scientist. She was one of the first African-Americans to work as a computer scientist at NASA.

A spokesperson for Case24 says, “We are thrilled to be launching our innovative new phone designs to celebrate the incredible achievements and contributions of the fascinating and talented women who have contributed massively to the development of key technological advances. We hope our new phone case collection will shine a light on the ground-breaking work of female pioneers in the tech industry, and encourage more women and girls to follow a career in STEM.We are also delighted to be utilising our new collection to raise money for Global Fund for Women and support the amazing work they do for women’s rights around the world.”

The new collection has been launched in line with National Women’s History Month in March. All profits gained from the sale of the F-email case collection during National Women’s History Month this March will be donated to Global Fund for Women.

The F-email collection features a total of eight different cases, the selection includes Ada Lovelace, Grace Hopper, Betty Holberton, Katherine Coleman Goble Johnson, Annie Easley, Karen Spärck Jones and Margaret Hamilton.

Each case is priced at $19.95 and can be purchased online.
