Rachel Griffiths Judges The Nothing To Prove Competition At Tropfest

Get ready for Tropfest – Australia’s most prestigious short film competition and the largest short film festival in the world – which kicks off on Saturday, 17 February.

Best of all Susan Sarandon and Rachel Griffiths will be there – and they will be among the  judges of the7-second ‘nothing to prove’ competition – a category presented by Holden.

A strong advocate for women in the film industry, Rachel took to the red carpet at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards recently speaking out about women in the industry.

“I’m honoured to be a creative partner with Holden as an Equinox Driver of Change. Their focus on driving greater diversity and inclusion in a male-dominated industry strongly resonates with women’s aspirations to thrive in all our workplaces,” she said.

“Tropfest is an amazing initiative for emerging filmmakers. With the rise of social media everything is documented so frequently, but it takes a true artist to create a body of work in seven seconds and I’m looking forward to judging the 7-second film category.”

Holden General Manager – Marketing Communications and Digital, Natalie Davey said partnering with Rachel Griffiths is a natural fit for the automotive brand.

Rachel Griffiths will attend Tropfest on Saturday 17 February at Parramatta Park and will judge the 7- second ‘nothing to prove’ film competition, presented by Holden. She will join actress Susan Sarandon, actor Rob Collins and filmmaker Garth Davis to select the winner of Tropfest 2018.
