Special App Helps Mothers Of Premature Babies

Developed by Miracle Babies Foundation, NICUchat connects families of children born premature or sick, families who are looking for the support of others experiencing the same emotions, who are in a similar situation or have been through it before.

Special App Helps Mothers Of Premature Babies

The NICUchat app costs $2.49 (Apple only) and a portion of the proceeds will go back to Miracle Babies to help cover administration and ongoing running costs.

The app is currently only available for iOS via the App Store. Please access the App Store below to download the NICUchat app.

WHY THE APP?

While the existing Miracle Babies online community offers an open forum, NICUchat will now allow parents to connect in a community-led but also private and secure environment, without having to share their personal details. Parents and supporters can share their progress and stories in a unique place, in real-time.

HOW DOES THE APP WORK?

NICUchat allows users to register an account, select a user name and search for ‘friends’ to connect with 24×7. Users will be able to search for others based on what state they live in, their current status (pregnant, in hospital or at home) and whether or not they are currently online.

For security reasons, as part of the registration process, users will be sent an email asking to verify their account. Once registration is complete, you can build your profile.

This includes:

– Uploading a profile photo

– Advising your status (pregnant, in hospital or at home)

– Telling people a little bit about yourself and your story
