Track Your Animal with Fahlo Bracelets and App

I bought my Fahlo bracelet at SEALIFE Aquarium while on holiday in Mooloolaba. I selected the glacier blue beaded bracelet with a cute white bear bead. The quality is okay and I’ve worn it frequently without the elastic breaking.

The company partners with non-profit wildlife conservation organisations to sell their products. It encourages conservation efforts and education.

The app allows users to track real animals on an interactive map. The packaging contains a card that explains how to download the app and a QR code so you can start tracking your selected animal.

My polar bear, Nova, has an erratic path through the Hudson Bay in Canada. (Unfortunately, the map doesn’t include many place names, so I had to look this up on Google Maps.) She has travelled a total distance of 4504.3 kilometres.

Nova is a female with one cub. She has a tracking collar and is monitored by Polar Bears International. Polar Bears have a conservation status of vulnerable. You can read more about polar bears, the conservation efforts and Nova’s updates in the app.

I looked at the app a couple of times and then quickly forgot about it. Under your Account settings, you’ll want to change it to metric measurements. I’m not sure why that’s not the default!

Fahlo sells a range of different bracelets for rhinos, sea turtles, red pandas, wolves, snow leopards, sharks, cheetahs, whales, lions, dolphins, penguins, polar bears, elephants, sloths, whale sharks, giraffes, koalas, manatees, seals and gorillas. You can also buy a plush. Look out for the trading card versions, which make them more collectible.

Co-Founder DJ Gunter added, “Fahlo plush was created on the belief that play can be a catalyst for positive change. Seeing our work celebrated by the Toy Foundation reinforces that our mission to connect people with nature through interactive technology is both innovative and impactful.”

Fahlo’s commitment to the planet goes beyond creating interactive play experiences. The company partners with global conservancies and nonprofits, donating 10% of its net profits to support efforts that protect at-risk species and their habitats. Since 2018, Fahlo has donated over $4 million to conservation initiatives, reaffirming its mission to foster a deep connection between people and the natural world—one tracking experience at a time.
