If you have ever been just a little bit frustrated trying to learn all the new shortcuts and functions of your smart phone’s latest software update, I have good news.  The arrival of a new phone with all the convenience of the phones from yesteryear and yet has cutting edge style and quality.

As a ‘techgal’ who has loved mobile phones from the days way before Optus launched in Australia, I have fond memories of the Nokia phones I owned.  I was so delighted to see the much-loved brand of Nokia launching their new range of phones in Australia.

Hello, Brand New Nokia 3310!

The Nokia 3310 3G phone has already made a splash.  Not just because it is so well featured, but because of its show-stopper price point.  Drum roll please… $89.95.  No payments, no contracts, no fuss – now that is definitely refreshing!

When giving this gorgeous little phone a test-drive and showing it to friends and acquaintances, I was surprised by the consistent feedback and outpouring of affection for the Nokia brand.  The first response was generally a reminiscence of the good old days when phones were easy to use.  From CEOs to taxidrivers, people are happy to see the brand back. It sounds like Aussie are ready to add a little retro to their tech repertoire.

In a nutshell, this hardworking little device is fun, light and attractive.  It is launching with two matte colour options – Azure blue or charcoal.    No surprises here it has buttons and the navigation is old school – no touchscreen here. The easy to use navigation system was a breath of fresh air and the battery lasts for days, yes days!  Can you take a good selfie?  Sure you can.  It has a 2MP camera with LED flash.  The colour screen is fabulous.
