Will I Break Up With My Favourite Fit Pros For a New (Pink) Beats Powerbeats Fit Pair?

From lipstick to Louboutins, I’ve never met a shade of pink that I didn’t love. However, I am also currently in a committed relationship with my Beats Fit Pro. So, when the tech brand dropped its latest buds – the very similarly named Beats Powerbeats Fit (try saying that three times fast!) – the moral (and aesthetic ) dilemma of dumping my present plus-one and investing in a new pair was real.

Would I continue to subscribe to my “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” philosophy and remain loyal to my beloved Beats Fit Pro? Was the promise of a prettier pink pair enough to lure me over the line? Or did I need a little more than a Barbiecore colour scheme to help me make up my mind? Read on to find out …

Spoiler: I came for the colour, but I stayed for the upgrades.

The Powerbeats Fit aren’t just a cute face with a fresh palette (But, NGL Power Pink is the kind of dusty rose that deserves its own lip gloss line). They’re a genuinely excellent evolution of the Beats Fit Pro — redesigned with a 20% more flexible wingtip that actually feels softer, bouncier, and comfier in-ear. If you’ve ever adjusted your buds mid-burpee or mid-commute, you’ll instantly notice the difference. These wingtips kind of hug your ear rather than grip it, which means less fiddling and more focus.

The case has also gone on a little diet — it’s now 17% smaller, which means it finally fits in a mini handbag without needing to sacrifice your lip balm. And like the buds, it’s sweat and water-resistant, so whether you’re caught in a drizzle or sweating through a spin class, these babies can take it.

Sound-wise, Beats’ signature bass is still on show in the Powerbeats Fit (that deep, satisfying thump that makes even grocery shopping feel cinematic). But now comes served with the addition of Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking to genuinely take things up a notch. It’s like your favourite playlist now has dimension — music that moves with you, not just around you. Plus, Adaptive EQ tailors the sound to your ears, automatically fine-tuning everything from podcasts to pop anthems.

Active Noise Cancelling is also on offer. And seriously still one of Beats’ most underrated superpowers. Slip these in, and the world melts away. Perfect for blocking out gym grunts, plane hums, or your chatty coworker. Those who require being rooted in reality simply need to switch to Transparency Mode, which lets in just enough sound to keep you aware (and, you know, polite).

Battery life hasn’t been left behind either. You get up to seven hours per charge (or six with ANC on), and a total of 30 hours with the charging case. And for those of us who perpetually forget to charge things, a five-minute Fast Fuel boost gives you a full hour of playback — ideal for those last-minute pre-Pilates panic moments.

Apple users will, of course, get the usual H1-chip perks: seamless Automatic Switching between devices, Hey Siri, and Find My. But Android girls, don’t worry — the Beats app has your back with one-touch pairing, custom controls, and even a Fit Test to make sure your ear tips are the right match. Because just like dating, fit really does matter.

And while the “Power Pink” stole my heart, the other colours deserve a shoutout too — Jet Black for the minimalists, Gravel Gray for the chic understated crowd, and Spark Orange for anyone who matches their nails to their energy.

So, was the pink enough to make me jump ship? Maybe at first. But after a week of testing, it’s clear these buds are more than a pretty face. The Powerbeats Fit are lighter, comfier, and smarter — a true upgrade that doesn’t just look cute in your gym selfie, but performs like a pro.

The verdict: If you already love your Beats Fit Pro, this version is your official excuse to think pink. It’s giving “On Wednesdays we wear pink” energy. But make every single day of the week.

Available now for $329.95 AUD at apple.com, the only real dilemma left is which colour you’ll pick. But between us, pink really does sound better.
