700,000 Reasons To Download This Property App

What do a Perth-based couple, a dodgy real estate quote and a tech epiphany have in common? The answer is a very clever property app designed to help you find the “bRight Agent”. Redefine the concept of a Smart Home. And, save you thousands of dollars as a result.

Aaron and Angelina Scott weren’t looking to reinvent the wheel when they started thinking about selling their home. But, like many Australians, they hit a frustrating wall: comparing real estate agents felt unnecessarily opaque, painfully time-consuming, and weirdly… one-sided.

“You always hear how competitive the real estate industry is,” Angelina says, “but as the homeowner, it never really feels like that competition benefits you.”

It was one of those ‘surely there’s a better way?’ moments that kickstarts many great entrepreneurial stories. So instead of just picking an agent and hoping for the best, the Scotts did something very un-average: they built a tech solution to fix the problem for everyone else, too.

From frustrating experience to a smart solution

Traditionally, if you want to find the right agent, you have to take time off work, arrange a bunch of meetings, show multiple strangers through your home, and then wait for them to get back to you with wildly different commission offers that may or may not even be negotiable. Sound familiar?

Aaron and Angelina thought so too. So they created bRight Agent – a free, user-friendly app that lets sellers compare agents, receive competing commission bids, and make an informed choice. Think of it like a matchmaking service. But, instead of dates, you’re scoring deals on your biggest financial asset.

No tech background? No problem

Neither Aaron nor Angelina had experience in app development. But, what they did have was persistence, a crystal-clear problem to solve, and a genuine desire to help other homeowners.

They didn’t just start coding in a vacuum – they talked to real sellers. They interviewed agents. And, they listened. “At the end of the day, we just kept coming back to the original mission,” Angelina says. “Give homeowners more control. Make the process less stressful. And save them money.”

The result was an easy-to-use app that isn’t about browsing listings or selling furniture. It’s a marketplace designed solely to connect homeowners with the best local agents for their needs.

A win for sellers … and agents too

While the benefits to homeowners are clear, the Scotts also wanted to support agents. Especially those just starting out.

Instead of slapping on the industry-standard 20% referral fee or overcomplicating things with split-commission models, bRight Agent runs on a straightforward subscription model. That means agents – particularly junior ones – can access new leads without forking out for hefty marketing campaigns.

“Real estate can be brutal when you’re new,” says Angelina. “We wanted to create a level playing field, where hustle and skill matter more than your advertising budget.”

Since launching in December 2023, bRight Agent has gained serious traction. It’s available on both iOS and Android, and has already helped thousands of Aussies navigate the agent selection process with confidence.

And, while the Scotts didn’t build the platform to win trophies, bRight Agent has racked up more than a few accolades. It was named a finalist in the Finder 2024 Innovation Awards and the 2025 Real Estate Business Innovation Awards.

But, perhaps the most satisfying feedback comes from everyday homeowners who’ve saved time, money, and stress – all thanks to one free download.

If you’re even thinking about selling your home, then downloading this app should sit just below “styling the bathroom for sale” on the list of priorities. . Because with around 700,000 Australians selling each year, there’s a good chance you’ll be one of them soon.

And if that day comes, you’ll want to be ready – with your dream agent, your ideal deal, and your wallet just a little bit heavier.
