Sony Mobile Xperia Xz Premium: Motion Eye Camera To Predictive Capture

Women Love Tech recently tested the Sony smartphone, the Xperia XZ Premium. There is something fabulous about this smartphone, not just because of its new groundbreaking technology, but because it looks and feels so luxurious.

Apart from the camera capabilities, what makes it feel different from other mobile phones is the super cool glass loop surface which when turned over reveals a luxurious mirrored effect on the back.

For some, the fact that the bigger sized phone might take a bit of getting used to but there’s a lot of technology packed into this unit including a intuitive finger-print sensor power button.

Without doubt the best feature is the camera with its new Motion Eye which includes 4K HDR display, super-fast download speeds, the 960fps Super slow motion playback and predictive playback.

Predictive Capture stays one step ahead and automatically starts buffering images when it detects motion even before you press the button, so you can find a moment your eye may just have missed from a selection of up to four shots taken a second before you clicked.

There is a 19MP high resolution sensor with 19% larger pixels to capture more light and provide detail and sharp images even in low-light and backlit conditions. You can also get supercharged file transfer thanks to the USB 3.1 connection – 10 times quicker than USB 2.0 with a transfer speed of up to 5Gbps. And the phone is water resistant, dust-proof, and has increased durability with reinforced Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back of the handset.

And, like me, you get driven crazy if your battery runs out of juice, it’s good to know the phone allows you to accurately estimate how long your current battery will last based on your normal usage. That way you are less likely to get caught short.

Entertainment matters

High Resolution Audio playback allows you to hear every nuance and detail in a track as if you’re right there with the artist. It’s kinda what you would expect from Sony because let’s face it if they don’t get the sound right then who will?

Sony’s native DSEE HX technology up-scales streamed tracks or MP3s to near High-res quality and if you connect with wireless speakers or headphones, LDAC ensures you don’t lose a drop of sound quality by transferring three times more audio data than normal Bluetooth.

Priced at $1,099,  it is available in Deep Sea Black, Luminous Chrome and Deep Sea Black.
