Apple’s New 16″ MacBook Pro: “The Most Powerful We’ve Ever Made”

Apple has struck again; this time with the release of their 16-inch MacBook Pro featuring crisper visuals, faster performance and a magic keyboard; not to mention the same slick yet smooth design that all Apple fans love.

16-inch Retina Display

Its biggest display yet for a Notebook! Featuring 500 nit, a P3 wide colour gamut return display and a resolution of 3072×1920; the new MacBook Pro is brighter and more visually outstanding than ever before.

Magic Keyboard

I have no idea how Apple discovered this kind of technology, but all you have to do is ask for anything you desire and the magic keyboard will make it appear.

Breaking news…I’ve just been told that that is not how the magic keyboard works – my apologies.

In all seriousness, Apple has called this the Magic Keyboard for a very good reason. With a new refined scissor mechanism with 1mm of travel, typing is quieter and more responsive than ever. The Touch Bar allows users to be at their most productive, accessing shortcuts with ease; and with the added Touch ID, you can breeze through authentification.

Better Audio

Now packed with a six-speaker sound system, playing music or watching a movie can fill the entire room like a stereo. The dual-force cancelling woofers also help to make the sound quality much crisper by reducing the amount of vibration produced by the sound. And, lastly, the new three-mic array produces studio-quality recording and playback for anything from music recordings to podcast creating.

It Can Hold A Lot More

This is an issue that we’ve all experienced in the past.

The dreaded Your startup disk is nearly full.

Our laptop is where we keep photos, songs, and work; so it’s going to need a lot of room to handle all that stuff. For the first time, users can configure their MacBook Pro to hold a gargantuan 8TB of SSD storage! Perfect for all the big projects.

It Can Last A Lot Longer

No one wants to charge their laptops every 5 hours, but we do it anyways because we have no other choice. The MacBook Pro on the other hand, thanks to the 100-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery can last up to 11 hours while browsing web and watching videos. You’ll have far more time between each charge.

It Won’t Feel Like An Oven

It’s the middle of the day and you’ve been working on your laptop for a few hours now, when all of a sudden you hear this sound that ressembles a plane engine gearing up for take-off. Then you lift up your laptop, only for the bottom to be almost sizzling. Okay, I’m exaggerating a little bit, but it does get very hot. It takes the time to breathe a little, because it can’t handle all that you’re asking of it.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro can. The Core i9 processor will work 2x as fast as the 15″ and on top of that will keep all heat out thanks to improved fan blades and heat-dispersing fins. This leads to 28% increased airflow and a 35% larger heat sink, meaning that 12 more watts of sustained power can be delivered.

It essentially has more stamina than its predecessors.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro is available in Space Grey or Silver A$$3,799 for the 2.6GHz 6-core processor, 512GB storage, AMD Radeon Pro 5300M version; and A$4,399 for the 2.3GHz 8-core processor, 1TB storage, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M version. Visit apple.com for more details.
