The highly anticipated Huawei P8 is launched in Australia, following the worldwide roll-out where sales have surpassed one million units in just two months.
Huawei P8 Replaces Your Phone Cracked Screen For Free
In addition to its premium all-metal unibody, advanced lowlight camera, tough Gorilla Glass screen and sophisticated design, the Huawei P8 is the first smartphone in Australia to come with the Huawei Screen Promise. The Screen Promise offers consumers 12 months of free cracked screen replacement when a new Huawei P8 is purchased between 29 July and 31 December 2015.
For the first time, consumers now have complete peace of mind when purchasing their new smartphone. If, within the first 12 months of purchase the screen fractures or shatters, Huawei will replace the screen free of charge.
Shawn Marsh, Head of Marketing at Huawei Australia, said “The new Huawei P8 combines style and innovation with a premium metal body and a tough Gorilla Glass screen. We’re so confident in our product that we’ll replace the screen for free should it shatter or fracture within the first 12 months of purchase”.
“It is estimated this year, over 200,000 smartphone handsets will be repaired or replaced costing Australians approximately $50 million fixing cracked screens on their devices. That’s why we’re introducing Huawei Screen Promise. We’re putting our money where our mouth is. We believe in challenging the big smartphone brands to give consumers more for their money.”
The Huawei P8’s advanced low-light camera is also breaking new ground. It’s the first smartphone in the world to feature a 4-colour RGBW sensor, capturing richer, deeper colours with the 13MP rear camera. The P8 also includes a unique light painting mode, enabling infinite creative possibilities.
Vodafone Sales Director, Ben McIntosh, said “Huawei P8’s massive 5.2 inch full HD screen and 13MP camera mean you’ll have no trouble keeping all your Instagram followers happy and be able to enjoy streaming all your favourite music and video content on Vodafone’s fast and reliable 4G network.”
“The Huawei P8 has all of the modern features you’d expect packaged within an aluminium body that has a premium look and feel. It’s also available for $0 upfront on Vodafone’s $70 Red plan, so it really does offer a premium smartphone experience without the premium smartphone price tag. We’re excited to be offering our customers such a high-quality smartphone on our value-packed plans.”
Vodafone will exclusively stock the Huawei P8 White smartphone from 5 August, available for $0 on the $70 RED Plan over 24 months (conditions apply).
The Huawei P8 Titanium Grey (Dual Sim) smartphone is available from 29 July for $699 RRP at JB Hi-Fi, Dick Smith and Harvey Norman.
