Review: Enjoy Chromatic Chaos With The Game I Love Hue

I Love Hue is a game based on the simple idea of moving the tiles to their correct position in the colour hue spectrum.

You are challenged to create order out of chromatic chaos. As a result, you may learn to improve the subtle differences between shades and improve your colour perception.

The games become progressively harder and more complex. A tile with a dot in the middle is fixed. You may like to spend some time memorizing how the colours are arranged before you start the game.

Pros

  • Visually appealing and a beautifully minimalist design
  • Easy to play and the puzzles are a good time length
  • Over 300 levels to solve
  • Google Play Editor’s Choice

Cons

  • May be difficult if you have a colour blindness or aren’t a visual learner
  • I’m not a fan of the music (nor my husband) so I play without sound
  • Advertisements play between games

If you enjoy this one, there’s a follow up game called I Love Hue Too

I Love Hue is the perfect puzzle game for visual and artistic people.

About I Love Hue

I Love Hue is a minimalist, ambient puzzle game influenced by adult colouring books, mindfulness apps and abstract art. The game has a very simple concept – players must arrange grids of coloured tiles into perfectly ordered spectrums. It was designed from the start to be a meditative, chilled experience with no timers, no move limits and no punishments for failure. http://i-love-hue.com/
