The I Am Remarkable Initiative by Google

Hands up if you’re ever suffered from impostor syndrome, or undersold your skills and abilities in a job interview or situation.

The I Am Remarkable campaign by Google aims to empower women and underrepresented groups to celebrate their success. It’s about reframing the way we think about championing ourselves and supporting our colleagues, and not seeing them as the competition or critics. #iamremarkable

Founders of #IamRemarkable

In 2016, workmates Anna Vainer and Anna Zapesochini wanted to create a movement that would raise awareness about why people struggle with self-promotion and how they can feel comfortable talking about themselves and their achievements.

#IamRemarkable workshop

The campaign includes a 90-minute workshop where you will learn about the importance of self-promotion in your personal and professional life. You’ll be equipped with tools to develop this skill. The workshop includes self-reflection exercises designed to challenge the social perceptions we might have about self-promotion.

In addition, you can learn to build your confidence and self-promotion with the free online Google Digital Garage course called Build Confidence with self-promotion.

What’s your answer to “I am remarkable because…”
