With the Olympics now in full swing, Facebook and Instagram have released new green and gold face filters and profile frames to support our Aussies in Tokyo!

While many won’t be able to visit the games in Tokyo, millions will be able to experience it like never before. Facebook and Instagram are not only providing new features but will become a space for fans to interact with athlete posts, watch behind-the-scenes footage and connect with their favourite athletes.

“We encourage Australians to get behind the Australian Olympic Team by turning Facebook and Instagram green and gold with the official Australian Olympic Team filters, profile frames, and using our #TokyoTogether hashtag. Let’s turn our feeds Green and Gold to show we are with the team in Tokyo,” said Matt Carroll AM, CEO of the Australian Olympic Committee

To keep tabs on your favourite Aussies out in Tokyo, follow their journey’s on Facebook via Olympics Unleashed TV, the Tokyo Together Podcast and an exclusive Green and Gold series.

“Sports have the unique power to build community and bring people together. We’reexcited to support the Australian Olympic Team and help athletes stay connected with their communities back home,” said  Will Easton, Managing Director, Facebook Australia and New Zealand.

With this year’s Games taking place without an Australian crowd to support our team in the stadium, it is more important than ever to show support to our athletes through technology and digital communities,” Easton added.
