The Frame is finally here! Samsung Electronics Australia announced that the second-generation of The Frame – a TV that can turn your living space into an appealing gallery of curated art – is now available in Australia.

This smart TV doesn’t just look pretty – it has enhanced features and new customisation options. And a whole lot of artworks available for display when the TV is not in use. That’s right, your TV is not just a big blank black box when it’s turned off any more – it’s a work of art!

The Frame ensures that your TV is not just for entertainment. It converts into a beautiful piece of art after you’re done watching your favourite show or movie – with an array of pieces, frame colours, and photography available for purchase. Just choose what suits your mood, decor, and style.

Samsung’s Art Store houses a continuously growing and diverse library of artwork and photos from some of the most renowned artists, museums, and galleries around the world.

You can get anything from The Albertina – Australia’s leading art museum, Magnum Photos – one of the world’s most influential and prestigious photography agencies, and Lumas – a major Berlin-founded gallery for photography and art editions.

The Frame has an improved user interface which makes it possible to browse different art pieces based on the colour scheme of a room, or to search by a particular medium – for e.g. drawing or photography.

New ‘Slideshow’ and ‘Favourite’ features allow you to curate your own collection of masterpieces that you can set to shuffle through at pre-set intervals.

The Frame will be available in 55-inch and 65-inch models from this month, on the Samsung website, at Harvey Norman and David Jones. A 43-inch model is set to follow in November.

  • 65-inch: RRP $3,899
  • 55-inch RRP: $2,699
  • 43-inch RRP: $1,799

More information about the Frame is available on the Samsung website.
