What’s The Future Of Smart Homes? Here’s Samsung’s 2025 Vision for Connected Living

Smart homes Samsung Style

There was a sense of entering Charlie’s Chocolate Factory this week when our bevy of journalists walked into Samsung’s 2025 House of Wonders show room in Sydney’s Town Hall. But rather than be treated with rivers of chocolate and swirling lollipops, we took a journey into the equally sweet future of smart homes.

Samsung-style smart homes equals connectivity across your home from smart Glare-Free TVs that transform into artworks to fridges where you can watch Youtube, yes we even put on WomenLoveTech’s Youtube channel on the huge fridge screen, and peeped inside to discover cauliflower and corn. It left me thinking, ‘did that just happen?’

Our excellent smart home expert Jacky told us the video cameras inside would display what’s in the fridge on our app, and, what’s not.

This means hubby won’t be saying ‘we’ve doubled up on the eggs’ again, or ‘Oh no, I just bought milk, tell me you didn’t buy it too?’. But that’s a thing of the past with this all singing all tap dancing smart fridge. Heck, you can even access a vast library of over 2,000 recipes on this huge screen on the door – the biggest fridge screen Samsung’s ever produced in fact. Not just any recipes but the ones for the ingredients inside. And, you can get the nutrient value of the food inside as well, which is a huge health benefit. And when your food items pass their sell by date, a handy app notification will let you know. In all, this means more inspiration, and less food waste, hence lower shopping bills.

My only question to Jacky was where can I buy it and how much does it cost? The answer is now and the cost is just shy of $7,000 Aussie.

Next we were shown the latest Samsung cordless vacuum cleaner which has powerful suction and is easy and efficient to clean out in a way that’s better for asthmatics like myself. And there was a washing machine which was big enough to clean your duvet in, meaning those unloved duvets may benefit from a clean.

These were my highlights and we haven’t even got to the home entertainment innovations and the cutting-edge display technology, cinematic sound, and smart connectivity….

Smart TVs at the Heart of a Connected Home

At the centre of Samsung’s 2025 innovations is the integration of Vision AI and next-gen processors across its Neo QLED 8K, 4K, and lifestyle TV models. Flagship displays like the Neo QLED 8K QN990F and QN900F feature the new NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor, capable of analysing and enhancing picture and sound in real-time.

Paired with Samsung’s Smart Hub and Samsung Knox security, all 2025 Neo QLED and QLED models offer smart home control. Matter-enabled devices connected via SmartThings are managed securely through Knox’s triple-layer protection, allowing us to control lights, appliances, and home environments directly from our TV.

Anchored in AI and user-centric design, Samsung’s latest range means we’ll interact in our homes in a totally different way, a way that make your life easier and your home enjoyment more fun.

Smart Home TVs double as framed art work… a feature we love at home

AI in Action: Vision AI and Supersize Enhancement

You can upscale legacy content to 4K in real-time to analyse ambient lighting for optimal brightness with models like the QN90F delivering brilliant visuals that adjust to your surroundings.

Ultra-large screen lovers, as you’d expect, are somewhat spoiled with the new offering the Supersize Picture Enhancer, an AI feature that ensures image detail and integrity even at 98” and 100” sizes. The QN990F also features Glare-Free technology, eliminating distraction in sunny Australian homes.

The Frame Pro: Art Meets Smart Tech

Blending aesthetics and AI is something I love about my Samsung TV but the new The Frame Pro brings TVs into the next generation. Now equipped with Neo QLED 4K, a Matte Display, and the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor, it ensures that both classic artwork and modern streaming content look their best.

The Frame Pro is also the first Art TV to feature 4K wireless transmission via Samsung’s Wireless One Connect Box, minimizing clutter. With built-in motion and brightness sensors, it powers down when a room is empty, reducing energy use— smart, huh?

Smart Sound with Adaptive Intelligence

Samsung’s 2025 Q-Series soundbar line-up includes the flagship HW-Q990F and convertible HW-QS700F. These soundbars offer Wireless Dolby Atmos, Q-Symphony, and Active Voice Amplifier Pro, making your audio as intelligent as your display.

The HW-Q990F, with its 11.1.4 channel system, and the QS700F, featuring a gyro-sensor for consistent performance in any orientation.

And What About Gamers?

For gamers, there’s Samsung Gaming Hub where users can enjoy console-free cloud gaming, and Samsung TV Plus offers 100+ free streaming channels. So that provides the entertainment while Samsung Daily+ provides productivity tools like Workspace, enabling us to work, play, and relax from the same screen. We were also told about regular software updates, multi-device syncing, and a future-proof ecosystem being offered to customers.

Samsung House of Wonder 2025

I walked away from Samsung’s 2025 House of Wonders thinking about the future of smart homes and Samsung’s comment that its ‘latest tech upgrade is an intelligent partner in smart living.’ And we all like intelligent partners.
