If you’ve been curious (or even a little overwhelmed) about the world of Artificial Intelligence, here’s your perfect chance to get across it – with coffee in hand, alongside inspiring local women. (Shamless plug, ,Women Love Tech’s own mentoring platform is also an excellent option!)
On Thursday 5th June, the scenic Mosman Rowers will play host to a Women and AI Breakfast, a fresh, insightful, and empowering morning designed for professional women in the Mosman area. From 9am–11am, guests will gather to connect over breakfast and explore how AI is changing the game – at work, in business, and beyond.
The reality is, AI isn’t just for tech bros in Silicon Valley anymore. It’s quietly becoming a part of everything we do – from the way we work and communicate to how we lead teams and build businesses. But as powerful as AI is, the conversation around it has left many women on the sidelines. This event is here to change that.
Hosted by Hannah Maude, CEO and Founder of Fire and Forte, the Women + AI morning will feature a mini-workshop that brings AI out of the abstract and into the practical. With 20 years of experience in the retail and FMCG space, Hannah pivoted to AI education after leading post-pandemic digital transformations and noticing a stark disconnect between emerging technologies and real-world readiness. She’s since gone on to run strategic AI sessions in collaboration with Microsoft and Accenture – and now she’s bringing her insights home to Mosman.
Hannah is passionate about helping women engage with AI confidently, especially given the stats: only 25% of AI app users are women, and the majority of jobs at risk of automation are held by women. It’s a wake-up call – but also an invitation. There’s an immense opportunity here, and Hannah is on a mission to make sure women are equipped to seize it.
AI and AM feeds
Alongside breakfast, Hannah’s talk will cover:
- Why AI Matters. A big-picture view of what’s coming next
- What is AI? Breaking down the jargon and showcasing AI in action
- Building AI Literacy. Practical ways to start exploring AI tools now
- Leadership in the Age of AI. How to future-proof your career or business
Whether you’re running your own business, managing a team, planning your next move, or simply interested in the future of work, this breakfast will offer something for you.
To kick things off, Mayor Ann Marie Kimber, who joined our Women Love Tech panel this year on International Women’s Day, will open the morning with her thoughts on the importance of AI literacy for the local community and economy. With a long-standing commitment to empowering Mosman residents, Mayor Kimber’s presence underscores the value of this conversation not just for individuals, but for the broader business landscape.
And, of course, no breakfast event is complete without… well, breakfast. Guests will enjoy a grazing spread with both hot and cold options, plus tea, coffee, and plenty of opportunity to mingle with like-minded women in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
So, why should you come?
Because AI is no longer a “future issue” – it’s a right-now issue. And the more women who understand it, the better outcomes we’ll see. This isn’t about coding or becoming a tech expert – it’s about building confidence, sparking new ideas, and getting curious about what’s possible.
Tickets are now available and include entry to the event, a light breakfast, and access to this exclusive workshop.
