The Adelaide Fringe Festival is all about experiences, art, and atmosphere. This year, for the first time Fujifilm’s FP-Z5000 ultra-short throw projector is being used to enhance one of those experiences in Karl ‘Winda’ Telfer’s Yabarra – Dreaming in Light; a starlit story of culture and history.
As the event’s signature installation, the FP-Z5000 ultra-short throw projector equipped with the world’s first folded two-axial rotatable lens is projecting the colourful, mesmerising installation. And thanks to the lens’ flexible ability to go up, down, front, rear, left and right, the experience was second to none.
The team responsible for providing and installing the projection equipment on Yabarra – Dreaming in Light had several ideas for how the setup would look and what it would need. In what would have normally required a large number of small projectors strategically placed around the room, the Z5000 became the key part of the installation. The FP-Z5000 provided undisturbed, high-quality, frankly breathtaking projections not only upon the surrounding walls and screens but on the ceiling and floor.
“In the Yabarra – Dreaming in Light installation the projectors have remained stable and consistent throughout, with the colours bright and vivid,” said NovatechMD Leko Novakovic. It brings to life the essence of Aboriginal dream-time stories in the most incredible way imaginable.
