The consumer web will invade Space Travel

While space travel still seems like an exclusive topic reserved for the top 1% of humanity, simple server technologies and concepts such as headless will be used in 2022 to progress space endeavours by connecting people both on the ground and in orbit.

Individuals will take back control with Web 3.0

We’ve lived through Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 and are now entering Web 3.0, characterised by a fairer Internet which enables all individuals to be a sovereign of their own personal data through the rise of edge computing, decentralised data networks and artificial intelligence.

All eCommerce will be Headless

Headless eCommerce is the future of digital sales. Any eCommerce what does not adopt this decoupled system will be at a disadvantage.

We will interact with the Metaverse more than ever before

2022 has seen an increase in AR and VR experiences on the web and an immense fascination with the metaverse. In 2022, all players on the web will develop their own slice of the metaverse for all things, business, eCommerce and beyond.

Consumers will demand increased human experiences in tech

If the pandemic has taught us one thing, it’s that now more than ever, people matter. For brands to succeed they must understand the value of human connection and interaction and replicate this in their digital services.

WP Engine is the world’s leading WordPress digital experience platform and provides users with solutions to create sites and apps to drive their business forward.
