Expect the unexpected, Mattel unveiled a cool Barbie flying on a pink and blue drone. Barbie is modern, living in a tech World and in a smart house.

Mattel is certainly pushing the technology boundaries of having a cool and connected toy. Wi-Fi is enabled and connect with an app and features voice-recognition software kids can talk directly to the home, its Barbie Dreamhouse.

Barbie 2016 Is Flying On Her Pink & Blue Drone

Last year Mattel introduced Hello Barbie, a doll with Siri-like capabilities that enables kids to have actual conversations. While Hello Barbie was a huge technological step forward, the doll came under fire after security researchers warned the toy could be used as a surveillance device by hackers to spy on children.

Hello Barbie

Most recently, Barbie made waves for introducing three new body types (curvy, petite, tall) to give kids more doll options with realistic body proportions. The new lineup is also on display at Toy Fair this year.

Wi-Fi is enabled and connect with an app and features voice-recognition software kids can talk directly to the home, its Barbie Dreamhouse. The house is featuring; voice control, shades and colors customization (hangout, party and fun), cloud, app and WiFi.

The Drone

The pink and blue hoverboard is a remote control quadcopter drone made from lightweight foam with a Barbie doll perched on top. The RC drone comes with a matching pink wireless controller and flight characteristics have been adjusted to accommodate the extra weight up top.

Available for $60, the drone’s flight characteristics have been tweaked to accommodate the extra weight up top, and to ensure it can still be easily flown by kids aged eight and up.

We’ll also have to wait until fall for the Barbie Hello Dreamhouse and drone to hit the market. But let’s be honest: we want a Barbie’s Dreamhouse and drone this year, very badly!
