Apple has announced the Apple Music Voice Plan – a new subscription tier for Apple Music designed exclusively for Siri. The new plan offers subscribers access to the serviceās catalogue of 90 million songs, thousands of playlists, personalised mixes and genre stations – as well as Apple Music Radio ā at the price of A$5.99 per month.

Users can subscribe to the Apple Music Voice Plan through Siri by saying āHey Siri, startĀ my Apple Music Voice trialā, or by signing up through theĀ Apple Music app. OnceĀ subscribed to the Apple Music Voice Plan, users can request music be played across allĀ of their Siri-enabled devices,Ā including HomePod mini, AirPods, iPhone or any otherĀ Apple device, and when using CarPlay.
Apple Music is also adding hundreds of new mood and activity playlists created by Apple Musicās editorial experts which are fully optimised just for voice. Subscribers can ask Siri to āPlay the dinner party playlistā, āPlay something chillā or even āPlay more like thisā for a more personalised music experience.
These new playlists are available to every subscriber of any Apple Music plan. Subscribers to the Apple Music Voice Plan will also have access to Apple Musicās entire line-up of playlists, including favourites like New Music Daily, Rap Life, Todayās Hits, Todayās Country, A-List Pop, R&B Now and more.

The Apple Music Voice Plan is available later this spring
The Apple Music Voice Plan will be available later this spring in 17 countries and regions,Ā including Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France,Ā Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland,Ā Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the UnitedĀ States.
Apple Music Voice Plan subscribers will get a customised in-app experience with suggestions based on the listenerās music preferences and a queue of recently played music through Siri. Within the app, there’ll also be a dedicated section called āJust Ask Siriā where subscribers can learn tips to optimise Siri for Apple Music.
For access to Apple Musicās premium offerings, including Spatial Audio and Lossless Audio, Lyrics, Music Videos etc, subscribers can switch to Apple Musicās individual plan for A$11.99 per month or family plan with up to six accounts for A$17.99 per month. There will also be a one-time, seven-day free preview with no auto-renewal, offered to non-subscribers who request music through Siri.
