‘Tis the season for colds, coughs and the antibiotic-filled capsules to accompany them … Even if it’s not a whole lot of fun! Fortunately, for those who prefer music to meds, Beats by Dre has come to the party with the release of their new Beats Pill. A portable speaker on the mission to find the balance between size and sound. So, that the quest for deciding whether to pack your tunes when you travel no longer needs to be a bitter pill to swallow!

Sound that’s so much bigger than its small size!

Re-engineered and re-designed, the just-released Beats Pill, Beats by Dre has once again set a high standard for what a compact speaker can deliver. Packed with advanced features and boasting enhanced performance.

The new Beats Pill (with USB-C audio and charging) now also includes an overhauled racetrack woofer. with stronger neodymium magnets. This helps drive 28% more motor force and displaces 90% more air volume. While an innovative structure with radial ribbing helps minimise low-end distortion – even at high volumes. Furthermore, it features a 20-degree upward tilt for better on-axis sound projection,
helping to minimise reflected sound. All these elements ensure that whether you’re pumping a boppy pop track, or hitting the hip hop tunes the sound is clear and dynamic.

One of the standout features is its IP67 dust and water resistance. Making it suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. This durability is complemented by a sleek design that is both funky and functional. With a soft-grip silicone backing and a 10% lighter build compared to its predecessor. The inclusion of a removable carry lanyard also adds to its portability, ensuring you can take your music anywhere without hassle.

However, despite its compact size, the Beats Pill delivers a room-filling sound that belies its dimensions. The upgraded acoustic architecture and innovative woofer design ensure that it punches above its weight class, offering robust bass and clear mid-range tones that elevate any listening experience.

Beats Pill

Homes, hikes and hosting epic parties

Whether you’re bush-walking or getting down at a Dr Dre-style street bash, the Beats Pill offers an immersive audio experience. Equipped with a long-lasting battery that provides up to 24 hours of continuous playback, the Beats Pill ensures your music lasts as long as your day does. In fact, even if you find yourself low on power, Fast Fuel technology allows for two hours of playback with just a 10-minute charge. To ensure that the party – or workout! – never stops.

The Beats Pill also doubles as a speakerphone for phone calls with remarkable speech
capability. It also offers one-touch pairing and integration with Find My Device for added convenience. And, whether you’re taking calls or activating your voice assistant, the Beats Pill’s Class 1 Bluetooth connectivity ( seamless with both iOS and Android) also ensures extended range and minimal dropouts. To maintain a reliable connection wherever you go.

A mighty musical marvel. That’s also Mother Nature-friendly

Finally, the products’ packaging reflects a commitment to sustainability, using 100% fibre sourced from sustainably managed forests. This conscientious approach means that whether you opt for one in Matte Black, Statement Red or Champagne Gold your investment isn’t coming at the expense of the environment. And further proof that good things really do come in small packages!

The new Beats Pill portable speaker retails for $249.95. And is now available at JB Hi-Fi
