Bumble is the female-first connection platform where over 29 million users come together for love, friendship and networking.

Bumble Bizz has a mode within the Bumble app designed for professional networking and mentoring.

Above is a picture of the launch in Sydney in March, 2018, where over 85 media, influencers and businesswomen gathered to hear from Bumble’s Head of Brand, Alex Williamson, who told the audience Bumble hopes that Bizz will help users grow their careers by enabling person-to-person networking.

With the big vision of becoming the ultimate social network for people you don’t yet know, Bizz is powered by the notion that a connection or a simple exchange of information can lead to the opportunity of a lifetime.

“By launching Bizz, we are continuing to evolve the Bumble brand. From dating to friendship and now business, we are ensuring our users can connect with like-minded people in all facets of their lives. Love, friendship, networking, these are all the foundations for a happy, meaningful life. We want to empower our users to make the first move, take the opportunities Bumble presents them and go after these connections in a positive way,” said Michelle Battersby, Bumble’s Country Lead for Australia.

“This is an amazing time to be launching Bizz in Australia. I’m incredibly proud to announce that we have just reached one million Australian downloads, with our download rate quadrupling in the last year. Australia is our fourth largest market with the fastest growing user base globally, and we expect the launch of Bizz to propel the Bumble brand even further in this market.”

Inspirational businesswomen filmed a One Connection video, telling their personal stories of their own “one connection” – the one person that empowered, changed, encouraged, and inspired these women in their professional careers.

Bumble’s fresh take on networking, with an emphasis on opportunity over job hunting, will be the first to bring the “swiping” and “women first” experience to professional connecting. Bizz, which is available within the Bumble app from today, will instantly connect users through geo-targeting and enable them to swipe through people around them looking to network, connect and mentor.

Bumble users and professionals around the world will be seamlessly integrated into the experience in the same manner as Bumble Honey (dating) and Bumble BFF (friendship).

Bumble Bizz will include a photo verification tool designed to help ensure people are who they say they are. Beyond profile photos, a user’s Bumble Bizz profile will include a digital resume, in addition to a skills section showcasing the users’ talents and accolades. Users can also include examples of their work in additional profile cards. Much like the transformative impact swiping had in the dating space, Bumble Bizz is specifically designed to disrupt antiquated and inefficient outlets for networking.

Australia is the fourth largest market for Bumble with the fastest growing user base globally, and over one million downloads generated to date and a 50/50 gender split. Australian downloads quadrupled in number between January 2017 and February 2018, with the majority of users aged 23 – 28.

Bumble has over 29 million users worldwide, and Australian women have made the first move over 12 million times, with over 125 million messages sent in Australia so far.

Through the launch of Bizz, Bumble hopes to connect entrepreneurial users with like-minded, engaged individuals, whether they be on the hunt for a new mentor, a potential investor, or just someone to bounce ideas off. Whether you are looking for a new mentor, or to be a mentor yourself, Bumble Bizz is the platform to find your next connection.
