Dyson V11 Outsize: A Smarter And More Powerful Cleaner

Dyson has released the V11 Outsize cordless vacuum cleaner โ€“ its smartest and most powerful machine to date. With a significantly improved motor, larger cleaning head and bin, and LCD intelligence, the Dyson V11 Outsize provides a deeper and more profound clean, perfect for bigger homes.

Most powerful motor

Powered by a Dyson Hyperdymium motor, the V11 Outsize spins at a rate of 125,000rpm and is equipped with a triple diffuser that balances both power and performance during use. The overall increased power of the Outsize’s motor means that there is about 20% more suction power leading to a much deeper clean in surfaces like mattresses and carpets.

Bigger bin

The V11 Outsize possesses a bin that is 150% bigger than its predecessors. Why did Dyson increase the bin size? Simply for convenience reasons. Having the bin capacity at a massive 1.9 litres means that more surface can be covered in a single clean and over numerous cleans. And the best part is that, even when the bin is near full capacity, the suction and overall performance doesn’t falter.

Fewer interruptions, more cleaning.

Wider Cleaner head

The Outsize’s cleaner head, much like its bin size, is also bigger. At 32cm in width, 25% wider, the outsize covers more ground in each pass making the whole cleaning process quicker and more efficient.

The High Torque cleaner head is also equipped with a Dynamic Load Sensor (DLS) which essentially detects the different resistances of each floor type and adjusts the suction power depending on the type. Cleaning on hard types doesn’t require the powerful suction that a carpet would need, the Outsize recognises this and helps you to save power overall.

Its stiff nylon bristles help with deep cleans while the carbon fibre filaments capture dust from hard floors and crevices.

Intelligent reports

Not only does the machine recognise different floor types, but it also notifies users of current performance, including selected power mode and even produces a countdown of how long there is left on the runtime displayed on an LCD screen.

The screen also reminds users when the filter needs to be cleaned when there are blockages, and also how to clear them so that instead of having to bring the machine in-store because of that stubborn LEGO piece, you can easily fix the problem yourself and save yourself a lot of time.

Optional click-in battery pack offers 120 minutes of fade-free power

It’s rare that users go over the 60-minute mark when vacuuming, but just in case, Dyson has provided an extra battery pack to relieve any stress of not having enough battery life in a single cleaning.

The Outsize intelligently only draws power from the battery when you’re actually cleaning, saving you 30% run time. Its most powerful battery pack has seven larger high-capacity cells with nickel-cobalt-aluminium cathodes leading to a much more powerful suction performance.

The Dyson V11 Outsize is available now for $$1,299 in red at select retailers and Dyson.com.au, and $1,349 in gold (Dyson.com.au only).
