Ellen Degeneres Tells JLo She Should Have A “TikTok Wedding”

After a strenuous year worth of filming and constant rehearsals for her Superbowl LIV halftime show alongside Shakira, Jennifer Lopez was aching for some time off. Now that her schedule has freed itself up (albeit unintentionally), she revealed in a live-streamed video interview with Ellen Degeneres that she’s dedicated a lot of her time towards helping her kids with mind-boggling maths questions. But, to their joy, that’s not the only thing she’s been doing in her pass time.

Believe it or not, she’s also been doing hilarious TikTok videos.

TikTok is an incredibly popular short-form video app where people dance and make comedy videos over audio and music. To date, the app has reached over 1.5 billion downloads!

“The kids are always trying to get us on TikTok,” Jennifer Lopez told Ellen DeGeneres. “I love TikTok, I love to dance, just like you.”

But the question is, how did JLo start doing these TikToks?

One day, JLo stumbled across one of the many challenges on the booming platform, called the “Flip the switch” challenge, where two people switch clothes to the lyrics of Drake’s hit song “Nonstop”.

The lyrics go,”Look, I just flipped the switch (flipped, flipped),” and as soon as Drake sings “flipped, flipped”, the light switch turns off and back on to reveal that the two original people had switched clothes. Check out JLo’s attempt with her Fiancé Alex Rodriguez below.

Ellen, who loved the TikTok, had just one question: “I want to ask about how you had things that even fit Alex?”

She explains that after seeing the challenge circulate around, she said to Alex, “My dress is quite stretchy, I think it can fit you! Why don’t we do that one?” The end product is simply a masterpiece that is sure to get a chuckle out of you.

She’s even inspired others to create the #JLoTikTokChallenge where people try to replicate her amazing Superbowl LIVE dance.

Ellen later asked about how COVID-19 had affected her scheduled wedding with Alex and suggested, given the popularity of her TikToks, that she has a Tik Tok wedding on Instagram live so that everyone could tune in. Regarding her wedding dates, JLo simply said, “As far as dates or anything like that, we’re kind of just in a holiday pattern like the rest of the world.”

In the meantime, we just hope she keeps the TikTok gold coming!
