The official makeup partner for Sydney’s fashion week, Napoleon Perdis created everything from cutting-edge, next-gen looks to the runway with over 200 faces made-up by the beauty team over the week.

Makeup lead Anna Papadopoulos says: “It’s like the models have just popped out of their workout and taken a selfie – they have a healthy glow. This look can translate across any style or gender and it harmonizes with all the designer’s stories. An infusion of hydrating skin prep created the beautiful glow on model’s faces. We have highlighted the cheek bones with our nourishing face balm called Turn On Sublime Nutrition Face Balm. We’ve washed peachy-bronze tones over the eyes and cheeks. Lips have been quenched with clear gloss, still showing every model’s natural lip colour.”

“The Leo & Lin collection is very ethereal, very gorgeous, so we wanted to keep all of those characteristics in the makeup. Skin is very clean and fresh, and we’re pumping up the natural skin with lots of primers and cleansers to get it glowing naturally.
Next we’ve done a moonlit intergalactic sprinkling of glitter underneath the eye and we’ve added a holographic star to the cheekbone to match the stars in the collection.” – Rajja Richani

“There’s an overall feeling of romanticism throughout the show so with the makeup the idea was for the girls to look super, super polished; but the colour story still has that romanticism to it. We’re using are our new Invisible Highlight which is a luminiser on the high points of the face. Then we’re actually using a lipstick all over the rest of the face; it’s a combination of peach, chocolate, or a peachy-taupe depending on the model’s skin tone. This colour is going all the way around the eye, on the lip and on the cheek as well. Brows are left natural and the lashes are just being curled.” – Kate Squires

“It’s a fresh base, exposing the model’s own beautiful skin. Rusty orange, coppers and warm browns have been fused around the eyes which has created a bit of a ‘grungy’ look – it’s not polished and it draws attention yet harmonizes with the overall looks from the designer’s collections.
For lips, we mixed wine and terracotta coloured lip liners together and smudged it over the lips to create a ‘worn-in look’. We highlighted the middle of the lips and cupid’s bow with a clear gloss to give a radiance that ties into the textures on the eyes.” – Anna Papadopoulos
