Logitech Wireless Keyboard And Mouse Combo Review

If you’re after a great new keyboard that’s incredibly comfortable and versatile, the MK850 Performance wireless keyboard/mouse combo is a great deal. It’s a full-size keyboard with an incredibly soft and comfy palm rest, featuring a curvy frame that really steps up the comfort zone and – in my case – really helped with productivity.

It’s perfect for those of us who spend several hours a day typing. I was able to scroll very quickly through multiple documents and I like the way you can type so quietly and effectively on the nicely-crafted concave keys. There’s a standard 19mm spacing between the keys so the typing experience feels pretty familiar. It also has a large strike area to help prevent unintentional keystrokes. Plus, it has nicely-scooped keycaps to guide your fingers to the centre of the key, allowing for a clean stroke.

You can also adjust the angle of the Logitech Wireless Keyboard with its adjustable tilt legs. Sturdy legs adjust from flat (zero) to 4 or 8-degrees, and hold firmly in place while typing. As for the mouse, it has a special soft rubber surface and a nicely contoured design that manages to fit in the palm of your hand very nicely.

The keyboard has a ‘wave’ design that creates a really comfortable and natural typing position. Luckily, I found no need to adjust my typing style and, as a long time touch typist, that’s important for me.

The large cushioned palm rest is made of soft yet resistant material, providing full wrist support while typing. It helps push the wrist up to reduce pressure and hand fatigue.

Comfort aside, it’s great to have the MK850 keyboard and mouse working as a pair and being able to switch between multiple devices. You’re able to switch between screens on both your keyboard and mouse for some great multi-tasking. The mouse is able to pair with up to three devices. For example, you can start on your table, then switch to your laptop, then over to your phone with the touch of a button. The keyboard/mouse combo works by using the Logitech Unifying USB receiver or you can pair them via Bluetooth low energy technology. The keyboard/mouse combo is optimised for use with your operating systems including Windows, Mac, and Chrome.

In terms of battery power, Logitech promises the keyboard will last up to 36 months while the mouse stays powered for 24 months. The mouse only requires a single AA battery, while the keyboard needs two AAA batteries

As for the mouse itself, you can configure the mouse buttons to have a different set of actions. You when you hold the Fn key, or move the mouse with the Fn key down to make some gesture-controlled actions. When it comes to price, the combo is an affordable $169.95 and I’d highly recommend it if you find yourself switching between multiple devices and pride yourself in being super-quick and smooth when it comes to multi-tasking!
