Motorola is looking to up the ordinary smartphone by delivering a high quality, premium mobile experience accessible to all – with the launch of the moto z3 play in Australia. Equipped with Google Lens, dual depth-sensing smart cameras, and smarter contextual computing, Motorola has designed the moto z3 play with the everyday user in mind.

The dual 12MP and 5MP AI-powered cameras are meant to guarantee sharp photos even on cloudy days or indoors. The smart camera adds Cinemagraphs for a fun and creative touch to your photos – it freezes any moment in a video, while keeping part of the shot animated. The upgraded 8MP front camera is a great selfie camera, and the Autofocus Pixel technology helps the camera focus faster for clearer shots at night.

The built-in Google Lens ensures that the moto z3 play’s smart camera recognises objects so you can search and shop better, interact better with text, and learn more about landmarks you visit on your travels. This is the perfect all-in-one smartphone of 2018!

Made entirely from Corning Gorilla Glass and lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum (which guarantees strength), the slim moto z3 play ensures you have more display space and that you spend less time scrolling. The 6-inch Full HD (1080p) super AMOLED display is tailor-made for deep blacks or other more vivid colours.

The moto z3 play comes with a Qualcomm SnapDragon octa core processor, which according to Motorola, will let you get more done on this phone (thanks to “chip-set speed and the clever natural language interaction which shortens the distance between action and intent”).

There’s also enhanced voice interaction with Google Assistant, courtesy of four microphones and low power natural language processing. This means that the moto z3 play will pick up your voice even when you’re not holding your phone close or if you’re in a noisy environment.

Other features include:

  • Fast unlocking – the fingerprint sensor is on the side of the device.
  • Full-day battery life.
  • Capability to add/attach moto mods – which allow you to modify your phone with add-ons such as a Polaroid insta-share printer or an insta-share projector.
  • Moto Actions – You can take a picture by just twisting your wrist to open the camera, turn on the flashlight with a simple chop-chop motion, and take a screenshot using quick capture with an easy three finger gesture.
  • moto z3 play will have a pure Android experience, which means no unnecessary apps, as well as access to the latest Android software.

The moto z3 play will be available for RRP A$799, via on Thursday, 4 October. Pre-sales have already started.
