Well-known fitness expert, Sophie Guidolin, has released a wellness app which goes further than physical health and delves into the importance of mental health – it’s called Flourish & Fulfilled. Sophie has dominated the fitness industry over the past few years with her fitness app THE BOD and her 526K Instagram followers who rely on her for their daily fix of health and fitness advice.
As well as having a following on Instagram and her other apps, Sophie’s also a published author, nutritionist, wellness advocate and mum of four – so as you would have gathered – this woman is extremely busy. This makes her an ideal person to bring out a wellness app which covers mental health and Flourish & Fulfilled does just that, It provides guidance on how to manage mental health through mindfulness practices, breathwork, meditation, daily affirmations and journaling techniques.
As Sophie says: “Let’s face it, times are stressful at the moment, and it’s been a hell of a couple of years here in Australia as we have faced crippling fires, a global pandemic and devastating floods. There has been a massive rise in mental health issues in both adults and children, and it’s imperative, now more than ever, that we take the time to focus on and nurture our mental health, for us to remain strong and face these challenges united.”

“I wanted to create a safe space for women where they could find information and guidance on how to manage their mental health through journaling, meditation, mindfulness practices, and breathwork, to help anyone who might be experiencing feelings of anxiety, stress or overwhelm in their life,” she adds.
Sophie has been practicing her own mental health techniques for years. At 19 Sophie was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and she then put on 28kg after her two pregnancies to her sons. This is what inspired her to turn her life around to focus on a life of health and fitness. Since then, she’s built a multi-million dollar empire around it.
Mental health is important as well as physical fitness
Sophie feels strongly that health isn’t only about your body. As she says: “You can’t expect to turn your life around with fitness alone. To achieve overall health, you have to put the time and effort into your mental health as well, and in many ways it’s actually much harder than achieving a six pack.”
“I have been working on my mental health for years and I make sure that I incorporate the techniques available in the app into my everyday routines. Most people probably aren’t aware, but I work just as hard on my mental health as I do on my body, and now I want to help others do the same,” she adds.
Sophie starts her day off by meditating first thing in the morning before the kids wake up, which helps her clear her mind and feel centred. After her morning work-out, she sets her intentions in her gratitude planner, which is designed as a creative space for women to practice self-care by writing down how they’re feeling.

After a busy day she often uses the guided breathwork techniques in the app to wind down at night before bed, and she always makes sure that she squeezes in a few affirmations when she passes a mirror to remind herself of her worth. Sophie doesn’t always follow an exact routine, she will mix between activities in the app depending on how her day pans out.
“The great thing about the Flourished and Fulfilled app is that it allows flexibility, so women can choose an activity that suits their schedule or their mood. Some people prefer to journal at night, or at the start of the day, some people prefer to meditate in the morning or the middle of the day to stop, pause and re-energise themselves for the remainder of the day. Everyone is different and there are no restrictions on how you manage your mental health,” Sophie says.
The Flourish & Fulfilled app is available on the App Store and Google Play and is currently available for a 30 day free trial. For more details you can look at the App Store here or here at Google Play.
