Oura – The Ring That Tracks The Quality And Quantity Of Your Sleep

Oura promised to help you find the perfect balance with daily feedback designed to help you improve your health.

The ring has advanced sensors that help to measure:

  • NTC body temperature
  • Infra-red LEDs to measure blood volume pulse
  • 3D accelerometer and gyroscope to detect your body movement

The free Oura app guides you towards your goal of understanding how well you are sleeping. The Oura app provides you with a sleep score, activity score and readiness.

The sleep insights cover quality measurements, sleep stage tracking (REM, deep, light) and sleep trends. These stats help to provide guidance to create an optimal sleep schedule.

The readiness insights include recovery optimisation, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), body temperature and respiratory rate.

The activity insights include daily activity goal, daytime activity tracking, steps and calories, inactivity alerts and overall activity balance.

The Oura app is available for both iOS and Android.
