It was only a matter of time before flying selfie drones became a reality and the latest on the market, the Rova Flying Camera promises to be everything the selfie obsessed person will ever need.
In fact, it will literally take your love of selfies to a whole new level.
Australia’s ASX listed IOT Group unveiled the ROVA at the world’s biggest consumer electronics show, CES17, last month in Las Vegas.
ROVA flight features include motion control, obstacle avoidance, one push photo and video, 360 degree turning, low power landing.
Position system includes barometer, accelerometer, infrared distance module, optical flow. Maximum ascent speed is 40inches per second.
Maximum descent speed is 20 inches per second. Maximum horizontal flight speed is 80 inches per second.
“The ROVA will open up a whole new world of selfie possibilities. Capturing more of the fun than a selfie stick could ever do. It’s like having your own personal photographer flying where you want them to go,” Lynn Larsson, ROVA’s head of marketing said.
“The ROVA is light and compact and small enough to take off from, and land in, your hand. It flies, it hovers, it takes photos and videos, it’s easy to use and worry free, simply connects to your mobile phone and has one touch sharing to your social media. It also comes in a variety of colours, and will retail at US$399.”
The box features a portable carry case, ROVA body, ROVA battery, charging cradle and a USB cable.
