We’ve been given new AR features, 3D Paint, 3D selfies, and even a time machine… but Snapchat is here to give us more with ‘Cameos’. With Cameos, you can send your friends fun, short, looping videos with you as the star. Whether you’re happy sad, calm or mad, there’s a Cameo for every moment.
How to use Cameos
Step 1 – Open Chat
Step 2 – Tap the smiley face next to the chat bar and then a little icon that looks like this:
Step 3 – Tap on of the Cameos tiles and take a selfie
Step 4 – Choose whether or not you want a two-person Cameos
How to change your selfie
Step 1 – Open Chat
Step 2 – Repeat same step as above.
Step 3 – Tap on a Cameos tile and and then tap ‘More’
Step 4 – Tap ‘New Selfie’ to take a new one
How to send a Cameo to a friend
Step 1 – Open Chat
Step 2 – Tap the smiley face next to the chat bar and then a little icon that looks like this:
Step 3 – Select that you want to be a part of
Step 4 – ‘Send’ it to your friends
Snapchats’ Tips
- You can type in keywords like “hey”, “yes”, “hungry” to find specific Cameos that suit the moment
- In order to preview a Cameo, simply tap ‘…’ and then ‘View Full Screen’
- To save Cameos from Chat, press and hold and tap ‘Save to Camera Roll’
Snapchat’s Cameos will be available on the 18th of December, 2019, with over 150 Cameos set to be available on launch.
