If you’re not a fan of cooking because you think the equipment is hard to use, then this new product will definitely change the way you see things. We’re talking about the Crossray BBQ – the easiest all-you-need cooking system!

Thermofilm, an Australian heat specialist, has industrialised the state-of-the-art Crossray BBQ, the ultimate gas BBQ that uses patented technology to produce high-intensity infrared heat that cooks tastier and juicier food.

Imagine not needing any other outdoor cooking appliance – a wood-fired pizza can be cooked in just minutes (including pre-heating), and paella can be ready in 20 minutes!

The Crossray BBQ allows even novice barbecuers to achieve the perfect cooking results with the choice to BBQ, smoke, grill, use as an outdoor and pizza oven, and perform ‘low and slow’ cooking with the lid up or down.

What’s the secret to this cooking equipment? It’s the ultra-efficient infrared burner technology that produces more heat and makes food cook quicker, keeping meals moist and cooked to perfection. This also uses 50% less gas than other normal BBQ grills.

Features of the Crossray BBQ include:

  • A high-grade stainless-steel construction, with LED illuminated knobs.
  • A large upper level cooking area and electronic ignition.
  • Multi-level cooking facility – its lower level lets the infrared heat to infiltrate the food to keep it moist as a contrast to an open-flame BBQ that heats the air around the food, thereby drying it out. This part is perfect for pizza, portion-sized meats, fritters, and vegetables. The sizeable upper-level area operates like the typical oven that offers low and slow cooking, suitable for large meats, roasts, fish, vegetables, casseroles, and desserts.
  • The Crossray range includes both a 4-burner and 2-burner model having each burner with a capacity of 13 Megajoules per hour (MJ/hr).

The Crossray BBQ 4-burner built-in unit is $1499 and the 4-burner trolley unit is $1999. The 2-burner built-in unit costs $1199 and the 2-burner trolley can be bought at $1699. These are available from Harvey Norman and independent retailers of barbecue specialists.
