The Bella collection was created out of a personal need for SunSoaked’s Brisbane-based designer and founder Kate Davis-Steer:
“When swimsuit shopping for my 13-year-old daughter I realised that stylish, sun safe options were virtually non-existent for tween and young teens in favour of itsy, bitsy bikinis. With melanoma being the most common cancer for young Australians (15–39 year olds) and on the rise, I felt compelled to extend the core women’s collection and create SunSoaked Bella.”

The SS18/19 campaign – Festa del Sole or “Sunshine Party” – has a nostalgic ’70s vibe to it. Not only does it bring to mind the bold prints of the ’70s aesthetically, but it’s also a throwback to a time before social media, constant comparisons, and the need to be perfect.
