Synctuition – A Mindfulness Audio App Which Helps You Relax

2020 has been a tough year so far. We’ve all experienced the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic earlier in the year and in Australia, we had those devastating bushfires over summer. These are major events and they can have considerable effect on our mental health.

Synctuition – an aural app which integrates technologies such as gamma wave binaural beats, 3D sound recordings and rhythmic entrainment frequencies to create an immersive mindfulness experience, has announced that in response to these extra pressures we’ve all been facing this year, its platform will be free of charge in Australia, America and 12 other countries until the 31st July 2020.

The other countries include: the UK, Ireland, Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, Estonia, Dubai, Israel, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.

As Michael Burich, COO and Co-founder of Synctuition says: “By making Synctuition a completely free resource, we are giving users a safe space in which to release anxieties and let their spirits soar above all of the daily deluge of heavy news. Studies have shown the positive impact that mindful practices can have on helping combat stress and anxiety, allowing people to focus on the present while increasing patience, tolerance, and imagination,” he adds.

Personal trainer and author, Luke Hines is the Australian Spokesperson for
Synctuition, saying it’s an “audio journey” which is “open to everyone.”

Personal trainer and author about healthy food – Luke Hines, is Synctuition’s Australian spokesperson and he says he feels it’s a helpful app if you’re trying to practice mindfulness: “Sometimes people feel like they don’t understand what mindfulness is or how to do it. There’s no right or wrong way. It’s about being in the moment and the Synctuition app helps you do that. It’s an audio journey and allows you to do your own thinking, which mindfulness is all about. It’s open to everyone,” says Hines.

How does the Synctuition app help you de-stress?

The Synctuition app helps you de-stress and enjoy better sleeping patterns by using its more than 100 relaxing audio journeys. You simply play one of these journeys that appeals to you and it helps you relax.

How it does this is backed by more than 106 scientific studies and as Dr Prudence Hall, an author and Synctuition’s mental health advisor explains: “For listeners to be completely transported to a different world in just 25 minutes could truly transform their state of mind and improve mental health. Personally, integrating the program’s journeys into my own self-care regimen has brought me peace and serenity throughout the current lockdown on numerous occasions.”

Launched in the US 18 months ago, Synctuition has become the third biggest mindfulness app in America with more than four million users.

At times like these an app like Synctuition can be helpful

It’s at stressful times like these when mindfulness apps like Synctuition become even more sought after. The World Health Organisation recently warned that in public mental health terms, the main psychological impact to date is elevated rates of stress or anxiety. As people around the world endure the lasting impact of the pandemic, especially self-isolation and its restrictions on their usual activities, routines or livelihoods, levels of loneliness, depression, harmful alcohol and drug use, and self-harm are also anticipated to rise.

In Australia, the Black Dog Institute reported recently that up to 33 per cent of our population may be experiencing high levels of worry and anxiety at this time and Lifeline has recorded higher than usual demands for its service over the past few months.

Synctuition is available free of charge until 31st July 2020 in Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, Estonia, Dubai, Israel, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
